"no one’s going to enjoy paying a 30% tax on a new car." That's Mike Huckabee's plan, not Fred's. A large sales tax would drive much commerce underground (aka the "black market") IMO.

You're paying more than that now, much more, in the form of hidden taxes that will be eliminated under the Fair Tax. And, unlike those hidden taxes, you'll know exactly what you're paying.
