Actually, I believe those two sisters used sham marriages to obtain citizenship, not just lawful residency.

So, I guess we should prevent naturalized citizens from joining the military/police, too?

So what does that prove? We have American citizens like Pollard and Walker who are spies. We have crooked cops who are American citizens. Unless you have some data beyond anecdotal information how LPRs are a greater risk in terms of security or corruption, you are just arguing from emotion.

A green card is part of the pathway to citizenship. The holders have fulfilled legal requirements to obtain the card. They can then choose to apply for citizenship or not.

How do you feel about the millions of people in this country who hold dual nationality and citizenship? Should they be allowed to be cops?
