So much for the theory that the liberals want Huckabee to be the nominee...
Did Michael Moore point that out in his recent crockumentary?
You say this like its a bad thing.
It’s going to be included in the Director’s cut.
I didn’t say anything. This is the title of the article, verbatim as posted at Yahoo News. Please follow the link.
Especially back in 1992, when very little was known about the disease. And what was thought at the time was that it was highly contageous and deadly (actually, isn’t that still true, but just not PC?).
Anyway, I dislike Huckabee for his obvious advocacy of amnesty for illegals (although he states that he’s against it). If the MSM goes after him for the AIDS issue and knocks him out that way, then so be it. I just don’t want him ending up being our party’s nominee and losing the elction to a dem.
Acceptance of homosexuality, drug use, extramarital 'relations' have allowed AIDS to spread far more than it should have. And now innocent people are contracting the disease (children from parents, people infected by blood transfusions, etc.). An AIDS epidemic is something which did not need to happen.
Don't take it personal. I was responding to the Headline. :0)

13. Do away with all loyalty oaths.
14. Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.
15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.
16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.
17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers’ associations. Put the party line in textbooks.
18. Gain control of all student newspapers.
19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.
20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policymaking positions.
21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.
22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to “eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms.”
23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. “Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art.”
24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship” and a violation of free speech and free press.
25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.
26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy.”
27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a “religious crutch.”
28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of “separation of church and state.”
29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.

“The only important difference between Nazi-ism, Fascism, Communism, Socialism and Liberalism is the spelling, and that the last group hasn’t got the brains to figure it out.” ~ Bill Vance
GOP presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee said Sunday he won't run from his statement 15 years ago that AIDS patients should have been isolated.
Huckabee acknowledged the prevailing scientific view then, and since, that the virus that causes AIDS is not spread through casual contact, but said that was not certain. He cited revelations in 1991 that a dentist had infected a patient in an extraordinary case that highlighted the risk of infection through contact with blood or bodily fluids.
"I still believe this today," he said in a broadcast interview, that "we were acting more out of political correctness" in responding to the AIDS crisis. "I don't run from it, I don't recant it," he said of his position in 1992. Yet he said he would state his view differently in retrospect.
None at all taken. :-)
Agreed that whatever it takes to knock him out, fine by me. I don’t share many FReepers’ intense desire to see AIDS patients quarantined ala Cuba, but it’s nice that Huckabee’s wackiness is coming out before the votes are cast. The only reason I can see anyone voting for him is his religious background. We’re not voting for Most Pious Politician, but President.
Huck is not my candidate but how refreshing that he did not do a Hillary and flip flop like a just caught fish.
