North, South Republicans may be set for breakup (Update at #64)

Yes, but it’s not a North-South split.

As someone from the North, I feel closest in political philosophy to men like Jeff Sessions of Alabama, Jim Inhofe of Oklahoma, and Fred Thompson of Tennessee; all Southerners.

Your post is Spot on. There is no North-South issue, only the Rhino issue is important. We know Rhinos such as POS Mike Dewine and Gov. Shaft have screwed up the Republican party in Ohio for the next 10 years. Jeff Sessions is probably my favorite of the list you mention.

Good-ole-boy Republicans from the South are an entirely different genus. Typically poor or working class, less educated, mildly paranoid; these are the “angry white males” who listen to right-wing talk radio and respond reflexively to hot button social issues. Southern Republicans don’t give a hoot about fiscal policy or foreign relations. They want to know where you stand on guns, gays and God.

How disgusting!!! There are great Republicans from the South and the North. There are horible Republicans from the South and North. I don’t like this author at all.

Many of us in the South are successful, have remained active in politics because of and supporting ALL Conservative fundamentals, try to improve the atmosphere by displaying Southern manners and a sense of "culture", with some of us even being members of Mensa!

The South feeds the World, controls the Space Program, has warm weather, beaches, beautiful women, great fishing, wonderful Universities, tremendous golf... we have theater, literature and music that has helped to shape America... we refine most of America's energy... GOD is still present in our daily lives and environment, and we are the most Patriotic of all regions! This author can just pucker up like the butter-cup that he is and kiss my arse! I bet he squats to pee... the little b!tch!
