Based on what? It's a mega church, huge operation 10,000+ in attendance. They probably hire a private agency, and are a big enough profile that they regularly get threats of violence.
That’s my point. There’s no first hand reporting, one way or the other. Because of that, I’m not throwing out the possibility that it was a volunteer who was simply CCW’ing.
Meaning its quite likely that there are plenty of police, sherrifs deputies, including reserve cops and deputies, in the congregation. Why pay a private firm for a few hours on the weekend. Oh they'd probably have some permanent security types, but on a 24/7 basis, rather than "just on Wednsday evening, Saturday night and Sunday".
