For those who know the area, I was just surfing the area on Google Earth and I read on one of the tags just NE of the church that there is a target range associated with a community college nearby. Could the additional shots reported to have been heard come from that target range? That is if the Google earth tag is correct.

I think the target range is associated with the law enforcement classes at Pikes Peak Community College. I know the south campus has one. If it is the same set up as at the south campus, they are not generally open to the public and wouldn’t be used on Sundays due to no classes being held.
