However if you look at events on a scale of 1 to 1,000,000, you could probably say that God chose to intervene in less than .00001 of those cases.

Thanks to the Englightenment, we have defined miracles as things unexplainable by scientific means. I do not. God is active and at work in everything, everywhere (not that He wills everything, but His hand is in everything).

As for the rest of your comments, I completely agree. God wants us to be people of action, not passive autobots.

I don't wish to seem cavalier about this because I know there are good people with genuine beliefs on the subject..
BUT..
If God is active and at work in everything, everywhere, then based on His results that would be a very scary thought.

God is certainly interested in the Big Picture but I don't see Him dealing in too many details.

The question would be: In the great scheme of things, is this project called Man on Earth a Big Picture item or just one of His many small details?
