As always, we have a not-so-subtle hint that being against an uncontrolled flood is the same as being against Latinos. Nice try. I am proud of all of my Marines, and those of Latino descent are many of the best I have known.
The problem is there in front of us in many of our schools, particularly in places where we think we're doing people a favor by teaching in Spanish. This mean that a whole generation will be educated in something other than top-level English, which means we guarantee a permanent separation and a permanent underclass.
In my opinion, the solutions are to:
1. Seal the borders and keep them sealed. Legal immigrations is wonderful and to be encouraged, all the rest stopped.
2. Register and identify those among us that are here illegally - and provide a path for those that have not committed any other crime but get here illegally a path to citizenship. Real criminals should be deported.
3. Teach these children English - solid technical English - so they can achieve and compete in this country.
Thank you for your service to our Nation.
I only can say, once one comes illegally, that one will always be illegal. Any action, job taken, social security number used (illegals have forged documents, normally) by the illegal, will technically be illegal. The illegal community has decided, the Congress has decided, groups such as LaRaza, CAIR, and the ACLU (taxpayer funded) have decided, and illegal is the way to go. To do less, is to be legal.
