Another liberal ivory tower type that doesn't live down here with the rest of us -

To him, a flood of aliens pouring into the country with very few restrictions is just the same kind of problem as going faster than 55 mph on the freeway.

He doesn't see any problem with whole swaths of our neighborhoods with a separate laguage, culture and value system. He doesn't see a problem with youth gangs proliferating, school systems loaded with non-English speaking kids and little drive to learn, or hospital emergency rooms loaded 24/7 with indigent patients - as long as his lawn gets mowed inexpensively.

The issue isn't immigration - it's flooding. Uncontrolled, unregulated, and unstoppable flooding and the inescapable damage that is occurring unless this flood is brought under control.

Liberal princes like this writer don't see a problem with separate communities springing up all over the country - but I'm sure he hasn't visited some of the communities in the Southwest where he wouldn't be understood or welcomed.

Just as long as his investment portfolio is doing well and his agenda is followed, what else matters?

With all respect, Colonel, I do not think that your post addresses the seeming inconsistency in the conservative ranks. Unless of course your stance is that immigration, in general, is harming us and it should all be stopped – if this is indeed your view. This would be an interesting take from a Marine Field-Grade Officer, who had to have known that he had many fine young enlisted Marines under his charge that were green card carrying immigrants or children thereof.

Please speak to viable solutions, then, Colonel. It is much more productive.
