Agreed, which is why I posed the question. However, I will say that Rep Iowans are very upset about the immigration issue. Many months ago McCain and Brownback were surprised to learn about the intensity of the opposition in Iowa while they were campaigning there. It is the reason why Huckabee has come up with his flim flam plan on the issue. It will be interesting to see how he articulates it at the Telemondo sponsored GOP debate tonight.

Illegal alien thing is a bigger issue than a lot of DC insiders realize.

I think it is a winning issue for Republicans and that they should talk about it more. Force the dems and the Hucksters to say what they think.

I keep saying that this issue might bring the independents, undecides and moderate old-time dems over to our side.

Rudy is weak on this. Against Hillary it wouldn’t matter; she’s weak also. But I really wish Fred would get it.

Fred’s had a lot of girlfriends and they all still like him. As far as numerous sexual affairs, I doubt seriously if a southern gentleman would describe his friendships in that manner.

On this issue, Fred gets it. His Border Security and Immigration Reform Plan is the best of any of the top tier candidates.

The only person I have spoken to in Iowa stated he found it disconcerting to see Fred talk about his numerous sexual affairs when he was single. This person also thought it strange and disconcerting that Fred has babies and a trophy wife so much younger than he is. If pro-life views are a pennant issue then along with that “pennant” must go personal and traditional sexual mores. That issue is one reason for Huck's rise. It worthwhile to not that Fred's status as the candidate of choice for "real conservatives" is by default, not because he's that great. If you look at his record, he's basically a McCain.

Doesn’t matter. Go around the pro Life websites and try selling Fred to the Life Caucus. They simply do not trust him. That the Leadership endorsed Fred doesn’t seem to be carrying any weight with the rank and file.

Right now I’m watching Hagel and Rockefeller on Slay the Nation.

We have Rockefeller here saying “I can’t say much about what was said... but I’ve been calling for an investigation for a long time” and Hagel saying “You’ll never get them to tell you anything worthwhile anyway, so what’s the point? All you’ll do is anger them.” (Both of those are paraphrases.)

We’ll see what carries any weight or not and how influential that issue will be during the primaries. The bottom line is that Huckabee does not have the pro-life vote locked up.

These are people that would kill you as soon as look at you. They'd do it in the most vicious and brutal ways. We're dealing with a new breed of human debris here.

I cannot understand the mentality of bringing in workers who want to abuse our system, not contribute to it.

The only thing that makes sense is political motivation on the left and some on the right.

The rats want voters legal or otherwise and some pubbies want cheap workers. Either way these bozos are ignoring and breaking laws for cheap gains both political and economic.

In addition it makes the US world wide bigots by allowing one nations a huge immigration advantage and then cracking the immigration whip everywhere else.

I've watched Fred a number of times, and NEVER heard him "talk about his numerous sexual affairs when he was single". His wife is younger, but he had been single for years when they started dating, so she doesn't match a trophy wife definition.

As for the kids - how do you think he got the bags under his eyes? Too much bed, too little sleep!
