.....well they’ve certainly reached a critical mass in Baltimore City....majority black population, black mayor, black city council, black school board, black state’s attorney ect....that’s why nothing much will happen to these kids....
Speaking of critical mass - in Charlotte, NC the sherrif resigned and the local Democrats had to ‘elect’ a new one. Instead of picking the current Deputy Sherrif who has been running the jail for years they chose a guy who ‘resigned’ from the police force right before the fired him for falsifying work records and who filed bankruptcy for 375k.
BTW the jail has a budget of over 100 billion and now it is going to be run by a guy who can’t balance his own check book. Oh yes, he was also charged with 3 speeding tickets in the last 6 months (2 have already been dismissed and you know the other one will be too) and he had sexual harassment or assault problems when he was a policeman.
However - he had one characteristic the local Democrats wanted. Guess what it was.
Anybody seen that movie HOT ROD? There’s a joke where Hot Rod asks the girl, “Who would win in a fight between a grilled cheese and a taco?” The girl answers, “The grilled cheese, but only in a fair fight. If we’re talking prison rules, the taco would win every time.” Hot Rod’s reply to her answer is, “Wow, that’s pretty racist... but correct.”
That’s the way this thread makes me feel.
Aside from the parents, is there anyone defending the black kids’ behavior? What makes everyone so immediately certain that the black community is supporting the attackers and the white community is in for another Duke lacrosse-style racial injustice?
Most parents, black or white, would take their child’s side of any serious conflict, even when the child is clearly in the wrong. I don’t think that’s a reflection of what the entire black community is feeling.
In the article, they even mention that the bus driver was black and he was assaulted as well.
And as far as I can tell, if a city is majority black population, its elected officials should reflect that population. This “critical mass” talk seems fearful and backward. The presumption that majority black means no justice for white people ever is silly and sort of primitive.
It’s not really a white vs. black issue. It’s a black inner city culture vs. the rest of us. The inner city culture is one where there are no intact families, and very few working adult men. Education is not easily available. The best path to success for the kids is to become a drug lord.
That culture is nourished by the black pimps - like Jesse Jackson & Al Sharpton.
And if you don’t think the problem is cultural vs. race, just ask a suburban black person if he or she feels comfortable in the inner city. Even Jesse admits that he doesn’t.
