We have conservancies and public agencies around here that take land under various guises and then log and ranch the land exactly like the prior owners had done that had supposedly justified "protection."

The real difference is that they contribute to leftists and consume taxes instead of paying them. Oh, and they don't contribute to Republicans and pay taxes, like most of the former owners had.
