Is Jesse “I spit in whitey’s food” Jackson working on that boat?

Don't leave home without your Immodium.Unfortunately, Imodium is not usually recommended for Norovirus because it tents to prolong the infection, especially in children. Best to stay hydrated, and allow the virus to work its way through the system asap.

My wife and I have taken four cruises in the last two years with Royal Caribbean. We have never had or heard of any problems.

I’ll take Pepto Bismol. Years ago I was told this by a very excellent doctor.

The RC Ships i’ve been on appear to me to be immaculately clean.
The crew scrubs those ships down all night long.

Then the diarrhea is a defense mechanism, the body trying to purge itself of the infection?Exactly. For an otherwise healthy individual, the symptoms should subside within a couple of days. Maintain hydration. Beware, however, that even after the symptoms are gone, someone with the Norovirus may still be contagious for up to two weeks. Judicious hand washing is imperative for everyone-- including and in close proximity to the infected one.

Thanks for the info, NN!

Jeepers. Didn't know that either. Yikes. Wonder if the folks running the cruise ships take that into consideration when it comes to the crew.
