I heard the tapes were destroyed after congress reviewed them and, the oversight committee saw the tapes and approved them be destroyed. All by the book.

The MSM's counting on consumers not reading past the headline and a few paragraphs. Fortunately they no longer have a stranglehold on the news :)

I remember reading about these tapes and their destruction a while ago, tho I can no longer cite the source; seems to me like it was months ago.

The CIA made 3 mistakes here: 1) taping the extreme interrogation of prisoners; 2) destroying the tapes; 3) admitting it.
