She'd have to get some custom-made, and she'd never do that. She wouldn't spend the money and she wouldn't admit that she can't fit into standard boots.

I used to listen to the Beeb on SW. I had to stop. I couldn't take the level of anti-Americanism, as well as the complete lack of commonsense in covering issues.

I never listened to Rush on SW. But I couldn't pick up that NOLA station when they were doing air time for a flooded local station after Katrina, so the skywave gods wouldn't have cooperated in the middle of the day, anyway.

I do remember hearing Grundig advertise shortwave radios on Rush, though. I should have bought one at the time.

She'd certainly try. With anything else, she'd try to get someone to give them to her as a gift, but not if she'd have to reveal why she needed custom boots.
