"I like our minor league team name better."

I like the name Scrappers, pretty cool.

We have three minor league teams in our area:

Harrisburg Senators
York Revolution
and my favoriate
Lancaster Barnstormers

I won’t disparage him and I won’t vote for him

dis·par·age
To speak of in a slighting or disrespectful way; belittle. To reduce in esteem or rank.

Interesting choice of words :)

FWIW, I wasn't disparaging him. I was calling a spade a spade. And heck, in some quarters being a flaming liar seems to be a desirable quality. Just not in mine :)

(Rush) said on a previous occasion that Fred is the only real conservative...

No mention of Hunter??

The one thing about Rush is that he usually prefaces his statements with words like .... 'many people think that Fred is the only real conservative' .... or 'it's been said (this)' ... or 'a lot of people believe (that)'

I am listening to Rush right now, and it sounds to me like he is saying everything he can to express support for Mitt Romney, without actually endorsing Romney as his favorite.

Perhaps I am hearing things through rose-colored ears, but I have listened to Rush long enough to know what he is really trying to say.

He certainly is NOT gushing on and on about Huckabee or Fred or Hunter or McCain.

All of which says a lot about what is in Rush's psyche.

Hey, I love Duncan. I love Fred, and I sort of like the Huck-man.

But I believe wholeheartedly that Mitt Romney is the most electable Republican ... and will in fact be the strongest (with Thompson as VP) ticket to trounce sHrillary and Obama.

Are they Puerto Ricans? Because it’s also the genetic makeup. If you’re Mexican or even Argentinian — lard has different effects on different ethnic groups.

We Puerto Ricans eat lard and drink tons of Bacardi rum, so we’re basically screwed.

the mascot will be named "Ferrous" instead

Perhaps they should name the mascot "The Wimp" instead.

However, he said on a previous occasion that Fred is the only real conservative and he likes real conservatives.

My question is, if RUSH recognizes conservatism... why this statement??? What about Duncan Hunter. You CAN'T GET more CONSERVATIVE than DUNCAN!!!!!

I am becoming increasingly convinced that the wealthy, powerful, and somewhat archaic media conglomerates that have controlled the messaging to America for so long are beginning to crumble. As they begin to deteriorate under the weight of a more democratic media system, opportunities to infiltrate the pervasive and corrupt lies and spread truth in love are becoming abundant. As America continues to grow fatigued and sluggish from decades of the mainstream media's preaching of godlessness, bright lights are beginning to shine in the most unlikely media places. And like any small light in a pitch black room, the effect will be unmistakable. - Brian Fisher, Coral Ridge Ministries
