No, “Get in on it” was Sheila Dixon’s as interim mayor.
Gov/Mayor O’Malley’s was the most brilliant ever: “BELIEVE”.
Believe what?
O'Malley spent $500,000 of the taxpayers' money to an out-of-state (IIRC) company to come up with the slogan "Get in on it." He then spent another $250,000 to come up with a logo and advertising campaign to go with it. This all took place before the election of 2006. Gov. Ehrlich did not make an issue of that frivolous use of taxpayer money, just like he did not make an issue of so many of O'Malley's terrible stats and policies. Ehrlich ran a lousy campaign.
Gov/Mayor OMalleys was the most brilliant ever: BELIEVE. Believe what?
This slogan, BELEIVE, which was seen all over Baltimore, was to be replaced by the new slogan. Believe in nothing, I guess. It worked, O'M is now governor.
