I have a hard time excusing the past records on both.
Assachusetts (The Bay Gay State) already has some of the most draconian gun laws in the country. He may not have grabbed any guns on his watch, but he was a supporter of the 1994 AWB. Now AWB2 is pending in Congress and the next president will see it land on his desk. To date, Romney has given no indication that AWB2 is DOA if he's president. So either he supports it, as was the case in 1994, or he's hedging his bets. Irregardless, I don't trust the man and I believe he would sign AWB2 into law. I can be neutral about a lot of things, but when it comes to gutting the Second Amendment, you don't get my vote.

When he supports my right to buy semi-automatic rifles of the type carried by our troops, as a bulwark against tyranny, I’ll reconsider, and even contemplate forgiving him for his past gun grabbing.
