Not that I think OSU would get by Georgia, either. How would a 2nd UGA-UF game for the national championship sound? They’d HAVE to play it in Jacksonville, wouldn’t they?

FreeAtlanta: are you drinking more of that darn Billy beer.
You are so right however, Georgia Bullfrogs could smoke Oklahoma only if they knock out their great quarterback.
I do however believe that Georgia is a good team, to make you feel better in your stupor.
With out the possibility of being crowned the be in the USA their recruiting would eventually falter to schools participating in the championship.

Upset? This wouldn't be an upset. WVU is definitely the better team. Regardless losing to Pitt. Rivalry game. Just like OSU vs Mich or Clemson for USC (South Carolina)
Sorry I’m so late in getting back to you, but my ‘pooter died and I just got it back from the shop.
That Pitt - WVU game was a heartbreaker for me. IIRC, you said at the start of the season that this would be THE crucial game for the Mountaineers. At the time I had stars in my eyes about an undefeated season and I have to say that a loss to Pitt was nowhere on my radar. Then came the loss to USF...welcome to reality! From that game on I looked at the season “one game at a time” and lo and behold, your prediction that the Backyard Brawl woud be key came true. Very nicely done, laddie!!!!
My congrats to Pitt and all their supporters for not only beating WVU, but the officials as well. That crew was horrible! IMO the NCAA should fire them all!!!!
It looks like UGA is going to loose to Oklahoma, but the up side is that LSU is loosing to USC and I am voting for the winner of the UGA vs. Oklahoma game over Ohio State. I want neither of the current BCS champions to make it to the final game in this match up in order to emphasize how bad the current BCS is. :-)
Wasn’t it one official in particular that kept making the phantom holding calls against the same Pitt receiver? If so, then someone should investigate whether he is involved in gambling or organized crime (aka, the NBA scandal).
Now that's funny right there, I don't care who you are.
I wish we would get the chance to find out. Alas, we will never know.
