Tis sport to watch drivers squeeze in and out of the limited parking spots in Paris. People sit and chuckle--goes with people watching at the outdoor cafe. Gas is "much" more expensive. No gas stations on every corner.
Motor scooters, public rental bikes etc. Until you view the driving habits of other countries only then do you realize the wasteful use of gas guzzlers we drive(and I drive an SUV)in the US. Driving conditions (roadway size etc) are a lot different. Renauds, Fiats are the most popular once sold in this. Quality has changed for the better.
Funny to watch one young woman who had a metal pipe on the front and back of her small car, as she bumped her way into the spot (and "spot" is all it is).
Would I drive a Prius? No.- Status car of the Liberals in the US.
I have argued that hydrogen would be the fuel of choice before electric cars were viable. I recant. I believe electric cars are viable now using the Tesla approach, though the Tesla is pricey at 90K. But mass production will soon enough drop that price. On the cusp of a new paradigm. Kinda fun. Now where can I get those dang motors rewound and balanced. One must have maximum power at ones foot tip.
