SKS.

Fires the same 7.62x39mm AKM/AK-47 cartridge, but it’s a carbine of limited, fixed magazine capacity (10 rounds). You have to reload through the open action, rather than replace the magazine like the AK.

Fun gun for $150-$200.

You can replace the fixed mag by disassembling the firearm. Then you can use either a 5,10,20,30 or 40 round magazine. Although it would be probably quicker to use stripper clips with the 10 round fixed mag because the after market hi-cap mags have a tendency to jam.
It’s a cheap shooter, but lately it’s tough to find the surplus 7.62 x 39’s.

***SKS.***

Fox news said it was an AK-47, then said it was an SKS.

CNN said it was an SKS.

the 30 rd 'fixed' mag swaps out faster for me than using stripper clips through the action, and I think 75 & 100 rd drums are available. Nice balance and decent shooter for the $$$ ...
