For example how many people know what LDS Eschatology entails?

From Dictionary.com: es·cha·tol·o·gy –noun Theology. 1. any system of doctrines concerning last, or final, matters, as death, the Judgment, the future state, etc. 2. the branch of theology dealing with such matters.

Thanks for the word of the day. I didn't know that one.

There will be many who will share their opinions about LDS doctrine from a non-LDS (or anti-LDS) perspective. If you have basic questions about Mormon beliefs, Mormon.org offers the ability to research or ask a Mormon directly about their beliefs by email or anonymous online chat.

For more specific doctrinal questions, see the searchable LDS Scriptures or Conference Reports.

The recent annual LDS Christmas Devotional, is also revealing about the LDS understanding of the role of Christ. You can listen here or watch here.

BTW, My current preference is #1: Hunter, #2: Thompson, #3: Romney. In my opinion, these are the only candidates who are right on "most" of the important issues.

I agree with caisson71 (post 19) that “all the Republican candidates, in spite of their shortcomings, are far better than anything the Dims have to offer.” And I have the same ranking of candidates as esarlls3 (post 41). After that it tails off so fast that I don’t really have a “fav five.” I suppose we could have fun with the Dems and draft Cheney. And John Ashcroft certainly has the credentials :)

I think Mitt gave a phenomenal speech. I think it is a real mistake to hold his religion against him. I understand why some people sometimes ask if this is the real Mitt Romney. But let’s give him his proper due. In this campaign he has often said the right things and said them well. I hope this speech will be remembered for a long time, regardless of whatever else happens.

I agree. I like all three.

But as of this most excellent speech, I am finally putting Romney firmly in my #1 seed spot after months of toying with all three. They are all good men, but we need a candidate who can handle Hillary and tackle the job of President.

Even if Thompson and Hunter are a bit more conservative, Romney is conservative enough on fiscal, social and foreign policy. And as of this fantastic speech, something has clicked:

THIS MAN CAN BE PRESIDENT AND AMERICA WILL BE ALRIGHT.

Romney for President.
