Rome, 6 Dec. (AKI) - A message posted on Islamist websites close to al-Qaeda is urging jihadists to carry out a terrorist attack on the embassy of the Roman Catholic Order of Malta in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.
"Do not stint on your attacks, Egyptians, either with car or truck bombs," reads the message posted on Thursday. It is accompanied by photos of the embassy building (photo) and entrance.
"These are photos of the Order of Malta embassy in Cairo. I ask Allah to have it closed down or blown up, along with those inside it, who hate Islam and Muslims," the Internet message continued.
The message urging the jihadi attack on the Order of Malta - nowadays a charitable organisation - follows the publication of an editorial in the United Arab Emirates daily al-Bayan, by Jordanian MP Jamal Muhammad Abidat entitled 'The Knights of Malta - more than a conspiracy'.

LOL! Sounds like something that one of our own Keyboard Kommandos might have written.
Now they’ve made a big mistake, messing with the Sovereign Military Order of the Knights of Malta!
Crusades the sequel. The Knights should give the jihadis some medieval Maltese ass-whoopin’.
Crusaders.
I supposed when you're getting your ass kicked in the 21st century, it's comforting to imagine yourself back in the 12th, fighting opponents who you stood a chance of beating.
Mubarak says “Bring ‘em on!”
They will soon aim for more obvious Catholic targets in years to come.
Is this something left over from the Crusades - the Knights of Malta have an embassy?
The Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of St. John of Jerusalem of Rhodes and Malta, better known as the Sovereign Order of Malta, has a two-fold nature. It is one of the most ancient religious Catholic Orders, founded in Jerusalem in around 1048. It celebrated the 9th centennial of its official foundation in 1999. At the same time it has always been recognised by nations as an independent subject of international law.At first, the knights were called the Knights Hospitaller (or Hospitallers), which described their mission. But they were also called the Knights of St John of Jerusalem, because of their presence in the Holy Land. After conquering the island of Rhodes in 1310, they became the Knights of Rhodes. In 1530 Emperor Charles V ceded the island of Malta to the Knights. And from that time, the members of the Order took the name that is still the most used today: Knights of Malta.
I think they're after the Maltese Falcon!
The KOM are also the second highest order of Christian Freemasons, sworn to protect Christiandom (whether Roman Catholic, Protestant, or Orthodox) against Mohamedons.
In 1565, the armies of Islam attacked Malta - defended by greatly outnumbered Christian knights. After 30,000 Jihadis were sent to meet their 72 virgins, they broke off the attack and redirected the Jihad to Vienna... where their great Jihad meet the defeat that saved Europe.
Which is why "The Knights of Malta" sticks in their throat 500 years later.
All of the second order Masons I have know are in no shape to go to war.
We have extremist muslims posting here?

Well, in a sense ... the keyboard kommandos say the same kinds of things that the salamikazes do -- and they're just as unable to see the irony in their blatherings. The quote I referenced could very easily have come from one of them.
The Knights of Malta are faithful Catholics, and faithful Catholics can’t be Freemasons.
