One thing about winning an appeal versus granting a pardon, the former means the justice system got a chance to correct itself. A pardon leaves a cloud.

In this case however, the only thing hanging over this fiasco , is the stench of government misuse of power. Sutton will be the new nifong if we press hard enough.
