To: Repeal 16-17
If Chavez tried it, would the Venezuelan military voluntarily assist Chavez in a coup d'etat, overthrow him, or splinter?

I believe this is precisely the question that held up the announcement of the election results. When Chavez concluded he didn't have the military behind him, he reluctantly accepted the NO vote, trying to put the best face on it.
