People always say money is the root of all evil. If I had my way, I would change that to say, the need for absolute power is the root of all evil.

By tradition, the love of money, and the
love of power are interchangeable

Not necessarily true. If a person has no money they can still exert power through manipulation. In addition, not all with money try to control people.
