“Yes. My friend totally ignores with a whim all Huckabees tax hikes, pardoning of rapists, big government plans, and stance against Gitmo. He said that the most imporant thing is that he call himself a “Christian” and that he could never vote for someone that was a Mormon b/c they were not. (I am not a Romney guy, btw). I find that non-analytical, at best.”

Please tell your friend that Jimma Cahtah called himself a Christian also. I know, I was a new Christian at the time, and gave him my very non-analytical vote. The biggest voting mistake of my life.

So you support Hunter, but would do with Huck?

I hope that is if Fred is gone (which ain't happening), because after those two we are out of conservatives. Huck is no count there.

If it is a Duncan or Huck for you, well God have mercy on your mortal soul...

Yes, but the top tier don’t talk about all the time, and remember FT, and JM are d-i-v-o-r-c-e-d.

MH is the whole package of perfection!

He’s been busy campaigning and writing real policy proposals instead of smiling and talking about Jesus a lot.

LOL, thanks for the laugh. I'm half expecting him to wander off the stage at one of these debates just because it's quite clear he doesn't want to be there

Fred does quite well at his stops from what I hear.

Second-hand talking points now? Blow some of that cash on something new and creative.

The Democrats are feeding this frenzy. They want him to run against Hillary.

It's a "Rope a Dope from Hope" calculated move by the other party to promote the weakest candidate.

He's a light weight against her Thighness.

If a candidate had walked out on the CNN/Youtube debate, that candidate would have won it.

Fred would be acceptable to me but I like Huck and Duncan’s take on pro-life better.

I still think the Huckabee surge could net-net help Thompson if it takes down Romney who is self-funding, and Giuliani who would pretty much kill conservatism as the core of the Republican party (except in relation to 9-11, yada yada yada).

Almost every day I hear Huckabee say something that could be interpreted as a "Dean scream" in the right context. He likes to hear himself talk and he's conducting a verbal ballet dance through a mine field of his own making.

Not one issue but number one issue for me.

But how far do you take that?

Let’s be honest. I expect that the net effect on abortion after 8 years of Fred, Huck, or Hunter is about the same.

Are you really willing to sacrifice our national sovereignty and economy to an open borders tax-hiker just because he “sounds” better on the abortion issue?

I did something similar. I asked my friend why this made Hucksterbee any different than some big government southern democrat.

I am curious what you hear or feel that makes "Thompson dead" in Iowa. Not enough attention paid?

Your other comments about why not Huck, Romney or Rudy seem to suggest to me that Fred would be the antidote to caucus around.

Just WHO is it that's supporting Huckabee? I don't know anyone who is.

Well, maybe Pat Robertson will switch his endorsement from Giuliani to Huckabee--and Huckabee will get the same bounce that Rudy got since the endorsement!!!...LOL

Fred just has not caught fire here. He just does not project much energy-I don’t know how to explain it but he doesn’t.

I’ve been to events with all of them except Ron Paul and Tom Tacredo. They all have fervent supporters who provide the excitement when the candidate is present-except Fred. It’s weird.

I haven’t figured out what to do. As time goes by, I get more and more demoralized. Maybe McCain-I don’t know.

Yep. Fred. Conservative. Consistent. Correct on the issues.

Of course, with Fred, you have to go to the movies or the racetrack to get excitement as he is an actual good pick for President, not a circus act.
