Really. Anyone who thinks Andrew Cuomo, D-NY is going to conduct an honest and thorough investigation of Elliot Spitzer, D-NY, needs a cranial exam stat, to see if a brain is present, in their head. Spitzer is dirtier than most of the criminals he prosecuited, by any measure anyone cares to choose.
It is in Cuomo’s interest to get the goods on Spitzer so he has a clear shot for governor in 2010? Or is it? Perhaps Hillary has a promised a plum appointment if Cuomo “plays ball” and whitewashes this mess.
Nope it'll never happen and the partisan whitewash will continue. That's why the GOP Senate has no choice but to carry on their own investigation no matter how much the liberal newspapers complain about it.
