I do not believe that Jesus Christ was capable of lying. Do I believe that your interpretation of that passage is correct? No, I do not. I believe that Jesus was saying that He and His Father are of one mind, one purpose. It makes better sense with the rest of the New Testament than the Triune stuff from the romans and greeks you guys believe.

You guys believe? You mean because it doesn’t fit into your church-creators’ flawed dogma?

OK, yes, now I understand where you’re coming from. Fits well in with what you post.

The Bible, itself, speaks not only to a unity of purpose and action, but also of divinity.

John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 8:58
"I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "before Abraham was born, I am!"

John 10:38
But if I do it, even though you do not believe me, believe the miracles, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father."

Philippians 2:5-8
Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death — even death on a cross!
