Personally, I’m not sure you can take this to extremes. I grew up with the Wizard of Oz and have always loved it, even now. But as an adult, I do question the good witch character. And I think Harry Potter is not a series to be read by Christian children, but I will not get into that argument here on FR because I know I’m in the minority. I consider this Pullman trilogy far worse than the two stories mentioned above. I bought the third book without realizing what it was and regretted putting a few pennies in Pullman’s pocket. I found the first two second hand. And I refuse to see the movie. I’ll watch it if it comes on TV and I won’t do that if there are children in the house.
