The cops get a call ... a cell phone call .. all they know is there has been a shooting ..

"Police forced entry into Williams home while responding to a shooting, but it turned out to be a false call. They had no idea at the time the call wasn't real and that Williams is hearing impaired. Without his hearing aid he is basically deaf."

A guy coming out of a shower can be a diversion to let a perp slip out the back window or something ...

I don't know ... but there sure seems to be a lot of anti-TASER activity these days.

We here in FreeRepublic .. if not aware of, are at least suspicious of ... the attempts to take our nation from us ... we should never forget the tactic of the enemy ... incrementalism.

No matter how small or seemingly insignificant the attempt or worse, damage .. they keep chipping away.

There are plenty of incidents where the police officer overreacted or had a bad attitude even if he did not use a taser. Many police agencies definitely need to improve discipline and hire a better quality of recruit. For example, it is ludicrous that a newly hired policeman in New York City makes a lower salary than an assistant manager of a fast food restaurant. That being said, it is also true that the rash of anti-LEO sentiment is very reminiscent of the attacks against police brutality 40 years ago. Every time a cop used a nightstick or a choke hold on a suspect, he became a mini-version of Bull Connor. The liberal print media and TV network publicized alleged abuses to the point that the public voted liberal politicians into office who appointed judges that routinely threw out legitimate cases on technicalities and who severely tied the hands of law enforcement.

In the 1950s and 1960s, there were a considerable number of racist lawmen, as there are LEOs today who are not reluctant to assert "authoritah". However, the reaction, this time fueled not by the print media and TV, but by blogs and You Tube (the confrontation involving a young motorist and a Utah state trooper was viewed over a million times), may wind up interfering with legitimate law enforcement and causing a weakening of public order. I do not think it is the Muslims, but the Left, and their useful idiot friends among libertarians and conspiracists, who are behind the attack.
