This one has an easy answer.
In the past 2000 years Europeans were exposed to repetitve virus epidemics that created a population of survivors with genes that protect them from some forms of virus infections, like HIV, bird influenza, and Bubonic plague. Unfortunately not all Europeans carry it and few to none persons with African heritage have the mutated gene.

Most clinics at the US Embassy, especially those in Africa, have bowls full of condoms (male and female condoms). Everyone is allowed to take as many as they want.
Local employees get them and resell the condoms at the market. Local people will not use them because it is considered an insult to use condoms, but local tourists are more than happy to buy condoms for few cents.

At the risk of sounding unsympathetic, I have always wished they would concentrate on cancer more.
Then I read an article recently that was really disturbing. It was of the opinion that all the people in cancer research really don’t WANT to find the cure.
If they did, all those scientist, doctors, etc, would be out of jobs!! The pharmaceutical companies would lose billions of dollars, etc, etc.
May be a wild theory but food for thought!
Remember restaurants hosting dinners as benefits for AIDS? Well....that’s changing....some have figured out that it would be more productive to have benefits for CANCER....it’s just that AIDS gets most of the MSM attention. I’m sick of it.....and recently, the UN said they had OVERSTATED the prevalence of AIDS, didn’t they?

Aids could have been slowed to almost a halt had they done something at the beginning. They used to quarantine people with certain diseases and should have done so with aids but the goodie goodies would have screamed murder!
Cancer happens to anyone and not necessarily through any fault of their own. In fact, seldom through their own fault!

the same goes for some pro-life organizations like the national right to life (who worked against the SD bill to ban abortion) and some republican politicians. Look at the past 6 yrs. with a republican congress and president, very little was done. they will always dangle that carrot in front of our noses,
