So, I suppose Eisenhower was a maroon for mentioning the military industrial complex?

And if you think the media isn't biased, then the maroon here definitely isn't Paul.

No, linking such disparate entities as water-boarders, The Fed, the Vestigial Media, etc. in a sentence that implies he is being persecuted by them is paranoid.

While each of those entities exist, Ron Paul is as significant as a bump on a Gnats butt to any of them.

Ron Paul, how about admitting that you are just as delusional about Radical Islam as Neville Chamberlain was about Herr Hitler in 1938!?

Chamberlain thought that Hitler was "acting out" because of the poor treatment Germany had received from the Allies after WWI. He thought he could appease Hitler by making overtures and concessions to Germany and Italy. The result was Anschluss, Lebensraum and Blitzkrieg.

Ron Paul thinks Radical Islam is "acting out" because of the poor treatment Arabia has received from the United States and its Allies after WWII and The Gulf War. The Result of a Ron Paul Administration would be just as horrendous as was Chamberlain's government.

Well actually, Hitler’s rise was due in a large part to the way Germany was treated after WWI. Does that fact excuse his subsequent actions? No, but it goes a long way to explain WHY it happened. France, England and the United States dictated that much of Germany’s industry be dismantled and/or retooled so that weapons couldn’t be manufactured. Large portions of historically German land was turned over to France. The entire population of Germany was incensed over their treatment, making the lure of a tyrannical dictator look good by comparison.
At about the same time European powers divided the Middle East along lines that made no sense to the people who lived there. Kuwait and Iraq didn’t even exist before that and the nomadic tribes that inhabited the area couldn’t live on either side of a line they couldn’t see.
Germany didn’t get a bye for WWII and whichever middle eastern country that is orchestrating this latest dust-up can’t get a “do-over” either.
Frankly, I think that Saudi Arabia is the force behind all the problems we’re having. Iraq probably did have chemical weapons and Iran would like to have the bomb but I don’t see how any of the lesser players could do anything without the support of Saudi Arabia.
I don’t know if you’ve ever read “Unintended Consequences” by John Ross, but if you could just read the forward I think it will explain the roots of WWII better than I have. It isn’t quite what we were taught in school but I think you probably guessed that. The rest of the book is an outstanding read too.
