Republican voters need to familiarize themselves with the concept of E Pluribus Unum. Regardless of ideological differences within the big tent of the Republican Party, from many, we must become one in opposition to the Democratic Socialist movement currently in command of today’s DNC.
Reasonably, Republicans have been using the primary process to vet a new leader of the Republican Party for coming years. For the first time since Reagan was elected in 1980, the party has no heir apparent, no President running for re-election and no Vice President seeking the oval office.
And rightfully, after years of less than conservative leadership from the nation’s conservative party, many Republican voters are working to return their party to the conservative values that made the GOP grand.
But have Republicans become unwitting devices of their own division and defeat?

The leftist press is pushing Rudy, Romney and Huckabee.
They’ve given up on McStain.
They want anyone they believe Hillary can defeat. Since Thompson is the only one of the eight they can’t defeat, I don’t look for the press to look kindly on Fred anytime soon... LOL
The media & limo republicans want the most liberal candidate possible. Rudy’s girlfriend graft and mafia ties have injured him the last few weeks.
Next most liberal is Romney. Then comes Huckabee.
Thompson will be given bad press, and especially by FoxNews who has already annointed the NY Philanderer Drag Queen Mayor.
They will not allow coverage of Hunter & Tancredo.

Correct. They’re building up Giuliani, Romney and Huckabee because they’re the most wreckable. Thompson and Duncan Hunter are being underplayed because they can’t be destroyed as easily.

Actually, with all trully due respect to Thompson and Hunter, they being underplayed because they are boring. The press pushes whatever will get them read or watched. If tommorrow, Huckabee or anyone else getting cover, become boring, they will stop getting cover.
The press isn’t involved in a giant conspiracy, they are in the business of getting noticed so they can sell advertisement space. No sell, no stay on air or in print. It really is that simple.
I just wrote up a short little list similar to this in Word, about which candidates lose socons, fiscons, etc.
Note the following: This will be the first election since 1952 (with the exception of Goldwater/Miller in 64) that they’re won’t be a Bush, a Dole, or a Nixon on the ticket. This will be the primary season where the factions of the GOP will have to decide between themselves what national newcomers will best represent the Republican Party in the 21st century.
At this point in time, it’s a complete tossup. I can’t wait to participate next year...

FRED THOMPSON is the only realisitc candidate in this group and unification of our party will require a great deal of work. At some point, we all must let go of our “individual” choice and unite behind the one candidate that will not only hold the White House, but pull Conservatives back into the House and Senate.
DemocRATS have given us a great opportunity, will we take advantage of that opportunity, or blow it by electing another RINO?

Then why is Rasmussen reporting this:
“The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows Giuliani with 20% support nationwide while Huckabee attracts 17%. Fred Thompson is at 14%, John McCain at 13% and Mitt Romney at 11%. Ron Paul attracts 7% of Likely Republican Primary voters nationwide and no other Republican candidate reaches 2% (see recent daily numbers)”
The “voters” apparently can’t see this “sincerity” that you do.
Tell that to Paul... He’s anything but boring... In fact, he’s perfect for the drive-by media. He’s a one man train wreck waiting for people to come ask what happened??? LOL

There are only three solid conservatives in the eight, Thompson, Hunter and Tancredo.
Thompson is the only one of the three who can win.
100 Million of them! They don’t all vote as a block but its still the biggest faction of any conservative voting group.
Again, that leaves Rooty, Mutt, and McCain out in the cold!
