I was an engineering student. We had very few “good” stories, but we did get to brew beer for college credit.
But most of my former frat class mates lived the life of wine, women, and song. I can only imagine what went on in the coed dorms in ISU back then.
Please. Most of the “girls” know exactly what they are doing.
Thanks. :)
Of course you are.
Lots of alcohol mixed with lots of hormones.
Touche!
While I’m not a big fan of butt-piratism myself, I am ok with grown people doing what they want in the privacy of their own homes. And, it has nothing to do with the evil skools. I guess some people need to invent boogey men and other scape goats. Have fun in the Taliban.
Does it really matter what you think of college students who work vs. don’t work? No.
I worked quite a bit in college relative to most of my peers, but my parents also paid my tuition and gave me some spending money. I think that I had an advantage because of it, but the reality is that I’ve seen people who worked very little or not at all in college get out and do fine for themselves. Of course, these students were working hard in their classes, so they did know what it was to work. BTW, you don’t need much at all to qualify for a mortgage. In fact, a gift of a downpayment from your parents will work just fine.
Uhm, haven’t seen much in the way of brilliance from you or your pals actually. Lots of opinions. Big deal.
Wow, what a silly little dbag. I would expect no less from you. How about you lead your family by your Taliban beliefs and let other adults lead their own lives. I know that’s no fun for control freaks like you, but guess what, YOU HAVE NO CHOICE. :)
Follow the thread back. I was responding to Jerri’s tendency to respond to questions and/or comments by simply re-arranging the words and repeating them. It’s the on-line equivalent of, “Oh yeah?”
I’d ping her to this post but I see she got zotted.
Why do you have that wonderful quote from Alexander Tyler on your Freeper page? It seems inconsistent with your attitude that traditional morality is the equivalent of Talibanism.
My husband sees me like that all the time and it hasn’t seemed to discourage him in the hanky panky dept....
susie
Well, I certainly believe in morality and right and wrong. I try to live my life in a way that demonstrates my beliefs. That said, adults are adults. I don’t want people interfering with how I live my life and I grant the same courtesy to others.
Btw, I later read that there is no evidence that Alexander Taylor said these things, but I like it, so I leave it on my page. I should change to anonymous.

Did you read that anywhere lately? Like maybe just below the comment box?
Fine, then cut out the ad hominem garbage. Calling someone's beliefs or arguments "Taliban" only demonstrates that you can't write a coherent argument against them.
The far left immorality crowd continues to erode the culture and the liberals on Free Republic applaud.
To add further to your accurate comment I would make the following comment.
Dishonestly labelling as 'Taliban' the traditional culture and morality that made America much greater than the rest of the world is a left wing tactic used by the typical Democrat bigot.
It’s a problem. The world is a lot smaller these days. For those who believe themselves moral absolutists, the ever famous slippery slope is being greased by those who believe differently.
