Well, there’s a funny story behind that as I promised everyone I knew I was going to quit if Dubya won the first election in 2000. Then when Algore wouldn’t concede and we went through a month of the recount nonsense I was constantly on the edge and there was just no way I could quit. So when Dubya finally won I was smoking MORE not less. I told everyone I’d quit at the NEXT election; this one was just too much!
The joke with my family and friends in 2004 was that Kerry dang well better lose decisively if old AB was going to quit. So I guess everyone that knew me voted for Pres Bush!
Maybe I should threaten to start again if Hillary wins....
