The wolf reintroduction program requires the permanent removal of any wolf linked to three livestock killings a year ... I'd like to know the interpretation of permanent removal. Does that mean from the face of the earth, or over to the next county where they can chow down on stock from a new ranch until another year passes and they are again ID-ed and targeted for permanent removal.

Well ... I guess I should have looked at the source before posting. (That's a novel thought.)
Notwithstanding their death or incarceration requirement, I don't trust the USFWS. If they can't figure out some way to spring 'em, their brothers and sisters in alf/sinapu will help out.
