Nobody even mentions Reagan’s altzheimers. I think it was evident in his last term.

Better Reagan with Alzheimers than Clinton on Prozac.

I see some comments about Reagan’s alzheimers from time to time. Probably out of our affection for Reagan we do not dwell upon it.

I have no doubt that Reagan was “depressed” when he learned he had it. Poor Nancy probably lived her life depressed because of it and then over his death.

Who can doubt that a single President didn’t have some trials in his personal life that caused “sadness”.

That, and his other medical problems, did impact his second term. I had read that he signed (in 1985?) an Iran/Contra document while still under post-surgical pain killing medication. It led to an embarrassing scandal.

Also, his administration should have invoked the 25th Amendment when he was shot in 1981, as he was clearly unable to carry out military command decisions for some days after.

A president must have a clear mind. If Hitlery has a tendency for moping around in a depressive funk, voters need to know that beforehand.
