England's Henry II, musing about his problems with his former carousing buddy Thomas à Becket, who got religion bigtime when Henry made him Archbishop of Canterbury: "Will no one rid me of this turbulent priest?"

Four of Henry's knights got the message, or so they thought. See, among other works inspired by the events, T.S. Eliot's Murder in the Cathedral.

Its a quote with some liberties taken. Shakespeare, maybe?
