OK ... maybe I don't understand the political process as much as I thought ... but ... it sure seems strange that a group of un-elected people can eliminate another group of people (delegates are voted on aren't they?) that have a direct role in choosing the office being vied for.

Aren't the delegates the ones that say, "Mr speaker ... the state of -------------- casts all its votes for ------------ " ?

So, if this is something that is legal, we never had control over whom got elected for an office ... right?

And if the RATS can do this ... it establishes a precedent for the elimination of all elections, thus destroying the entire representative Republic form of government/elections we're supposed to have.

No wonder third worlders want to come here ... The USSA is just like home ... but with more land to destroy and money to squander.

And they if you turn up the heat slowly, the frogs get cooked and never notice.

Primaries aren’t true elections. There’s nothing in the Constitution governing them. If the parties wanted to change their rules and decide who gets the nomination by playing paper, scissors, rock then they could. Primaries are just a way for the party to decide who to fund and support in the general election.
