A Civil Guard Dies After Being Shot in Southern France

A Spanish Civil Guard has died after being shot in the head and another one is in critical condition due to an ETA attack in the Southern French city of Capbreton. Both agents were participating in an operation against the terror organization ETA.

According to sources of the investigation, the terrorists approached them as they went out of a supermarket, and opened fire.

The Civil Guards were carrying out an operation along the French Security corps, which inform that the terrorists have run away.

ETA hasn’t carry out killings in Southern France previously.

The Spanish Socialist party has held talks with ETA from before 3/11 until last June, when they lost the Local elecions. National Elections are coming in just three months.
