SOF includes Air Force CCT and Para Rescue, various AF wings and squadrons, Navy SEALs, the Marines in MARSOC and the Army’s Rangers, Special Forces (SF), some helicopter assets, PyOps and Civil Affairs.
They all have specific jobs although some of the ground pounders overlap in some areas.
All SOF are not SF - but all SF are SOF.
Just a minor point the press mixes up a lot.

So tell me, is this how you make judgments? What do you know about this LTG? you infer he is gay by just looking at a picture?
What would your actions as commander be if your subordinates came to you and said there is a possible incident of civilians inadvertently killed...you would take no action? Would you look them in the eyes and know the truth?
