I forget the name of the beef packing company that Tyson took over, but this may be it. When they refused a Tyson takeover offer, clinton sent a swarm of federal inspectors into their plants and knocked their stock price down, I think by about a billion dollars. Then Tyson took them over, on the cheap.

That was Hudson Foods, headquartered in Nebraska. Whether the Emporia plant is an ex-Hudson facility, I couldn't say.

Recall that Clinton not only "flooded their plants with inspectors and knocked their stock [sic] price down" (it was a family-owned company), the Ag Dept actually attributed an e coli death scare to Hudson in order to get the scam underway.

Rarely has the power of the federal government been used in such a blatent and corrupt manner to benefit a contributor.

Yes, I was speaking from memory. I just googled it, and the story was more complicated than I remembered. But there is mention of clinton’s abuse of meat inspections, and also of the Somali immigrants. Another beef producer, IBP, was involved in these complicated dealings.
