There was a question, I answered and it showed the results.
Hope that answers your question.

Usually USA Today has a few thousand goobers of their own ilk to start off their polls, but they seem to have messed-up on this one.

An opinion poll on the substance of the U.S. Constitution?
Layman opinions on legal matters do not mean excrement. Might as well seek opinions about the weather or how people "feel" about science or mathematics. This is an example of polling at its very worst. What is the objective of the pollster? Of course, that is the basic problem with this kind of nonsense. The pollster has an agenda.

Really enjoyed the comment concerning the Montana girl who successfully defended herself against two armed criminal aliens. Hope that the knowledge that she did the right thing keeps her from having any psych problems down the road.

Here’s another comment. Okay - which Freeper wrote it? (I have seen numerous similar points on FR):
“Argh! Is the poll a trick question? It asks, “Does the Second Amendment give individuals the right to bear arms?” The answer is No, it doesn’t - because it only AFFIRMS the right to bear arms; that right is a God-given right, and is above the laws of man. But if I choose “NO” on their poll, is that going to tell them that I feel people don’t have a right to bear arms?”

“Layman opinions on legal matters do not mean excrement.”
Hmmm...is that why maybe the E.R.A. amendment failed ?
Ya think maybe the Right to Vote Amendment was kinda dumb too ? Imagine dumb laypeople voting for who shall represent them and for all kinds of amendments to State Constitutions...
If anything that poll shows that 98% of the people have some common sense when it comes to upholding the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution

Unfortunately the only poll that is going to matter is the one of our nine kings in black. (I’m not sure if Ginsburg is not a man in drag). The blew Roe vs Wade and the First Amendment who knows what they’ll do with the second.
All I can say is whatever replaces this government; the role of any court will have to carefully defined to prevent more dictators in robes.

You are correct. If the government can “give” rights, it can take them. The BOR tells the government to back off.
