Brief addendum: No, I don't want anyone on the employment line. There are people out there who just flat don't have many skills and may not have the opportunity to acquire them. I feel for these people. However, I doubt sincerely that any government trade policy would protect them from a future of low-paying jobs. Continued growth of our economy is the only thing that will raise their standard of living, and in my opinion, strict trade policies will not cause the US economy to grow.
