I believe I’ve read somewhere that Arabic has words for “son” and “child” but no word for “daughter”. Can somebody fluent in Arabic calibrate me on that?

I don’t speak Arabic, but Farsi had a word for daughter.

Bint is Arabic for daughter.

Maybe, maybe not. Either way, Iranians don’t speak Arabic.

In Arabic it would be “bint”, but Farsi is the likely language in this case.
