I’m no southerner and no supporter of secession, but the COnfederate Flag does not represent racism and the ku Klux Klan, it is a symbol of the south and southern heritage.

I would bet for a majority of Americans that is the very first thing they think of when they see that. I doubt 10% think of it just as Southern Heritage. Most probably view it as a symbol of rebellion over the right of one person to own another person. States treading on the individual's rights.

The first thing I always think of is the General Lee from Dukes of Hazzard. And no, I'm not joking. I watched that show all the time as a kid so it's burned in the brain pretty good.

Ever hear of the Dukes of Hazard ???

Daisy and the "general Lee' did pretty well to have been only supported by 10% of the population...

Display Dixie flag = racist

Burn Ole Glory = free speech...

only in socialist amerika...

I would bet a majority of Americans would think of Dukes of Hazard first. :)

15 years ago, I'd take that bet in a heartbeat. Now, I think people have been taught by the media that it means racism. Amazing how effective the media has been in putting that in society's collective heads.
