Big blip on Drudge.

*****UPDATE******

It turns out that Keith Kerr, retired Colonel., U.S. Army; retired Brigadier General, California National Reserve, who submitted a YouTube question about gays in the military, is actually a member of Hillary Clinton's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transexual Americans For Hillary Steering Committee. He's also part of a film production crew trying overturn the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy.

UPDATE: In the final seconds of the post-debate coverage, Anderson Cooper acknowledges that CNN messed this up and states that CNN did not know that Kerr has a position within the Clinton campaign and that had they known, they would have disclosed the association.

I’m somewhat confused with the description of Kerr as a General in the “CA National Reserve”. I believe that the correct term would be the CA National Guard. Having said that, my recollection as a Guard member from the 1970s is that if you retire as a full Colonel (O-6), and you haven’t made any enemies at the State level, you are awarded an honorary promotion to BG (O-7) for STATE purposes only—i.e., no Federal recognition or approval of the promotion.no increase in retired pay, etc. Usually, this was automatically awarded to those who were full time members, part time civil service, part time active duty.

BWAHAHAHA!

Reminds me of Cheney's jab at John Edwards when he said he was known as "Senator Gone".

FR reporting...lmao. Wouldn’t be a bad idea, but then again...I wouldn’t want Murdoch to buy us and make us a sell-outs form of media.

“CNN is either lying or completely stupid for not vetting this guy.”

you are far too generous, it is likely they CHOOSE this guy for questions.

The Republicans should plant an active duty soldier at the next Democratic debate to ask the candidates if they would withhold funding for the Military during time of war.

I was replying to TomGuy’s funny (sarcastic) post, so I’m hoping you caught the humor and agree with us. CNN is a total fraud.

BTW, prayers for your hubby’s safe return!

Sleuthed (and obtained) a photo of the LIBERAL DEMOCRAT HILLARY PLANT GAY GENERAL Keith Kerr (left in photo), shown in in the Capitol Hill, D.C. office of Liberal Democrat Congressman Marty Meehan, lobbying for his gay agenda, circa March 2005 from Gay City News... in a PRESS CONFERENCE.

This buzzard's an activist for the other side.

When is CNN going to own up to this? Why did they not just have average Americans, Republicans at that (since it is a primary) asking these questions?

What a set up.

>>>> “What a set up.” <<<<

You got that right. It is time for the Republicans to join the race, and play by the opponent’s rules.

Let’s bring in children and injured vets to their next debate. And, oh! Let’s also bring in one or two of the people from Canada who (with socialized medicine) have to wait for six months to get chemo.

Oh! I know. Let’s bring into the next democrat debate a couple members of families who lost their loved one to a drunk illegal driver.

Just a thought, folks. But - if we want to join the game - we must play by the rules.......(and the dems set those up, tonight!)

Time for payback.

In one way or another.

Don’cha just love ‘karma’?

Payback’s a b*tch!

And it’s WAY past time to use it, IMHO.

I missed the debate. But this is just to good.

Her ‘bimbo eruptions’ keep coming and coming at her like a circadian rhythm.

Now watch the MSM turn on her (I hope) with a vengeance. Why? not even they want to be made to look as stupid as that, they still have to sell a product. In 1992 they got away with it, not now.

When it all washes out, I guess my money bets would lie in a Dodd-Biden Biden-Dodd candidacy us Repubs will face after the primaries are over.

Think about McCain.
He doesn’t get a lot of “airtime” on FR for whatever reasons, but no candidate is perfect.

Let’s unite for the one candidate who is a true American Hero w/ the knowledge & experience to make the right decisions. He’s got two sons in the military & as a Naval Academy grad himself, he knows about leadership.

I could go on...
Wish people could get over their past issues w/ him & realize he’s the candidate we need to nominate & elect!

Yes, and how about we bring in all the people who survived abortion attempts

Yes, and how about we bring in all the people who have not died or been harmed from Islamic terrorist attacks on our own soil in the WOT since 9-11? This would include all the dim scumbags on the left. Make them show up and make a statement, as ridiculous as it will sound.

My gut reaction, is to say f*, but that is not civil, nice, pc, or what a potus candidate might get away with saying.

Although I did not see the debate, if conservative Republicans like Duncan Hunter get to speak the truth about reality before a wide, non-FOX audience accustomed more to hearing Chamberlin-style PC delusions of “peace” possibilities from the left, it’s excellent that they accepted the chance to be on CNN.

It’s a given we have to always remain wary of the snakes/plants/lies/tricks. I love Free Republic because FReepers are quick, resourceful and have dialed-in BS detectors and the research skills to find out in minutes.

The whole Debate was a disgrace. The questions obviously came from mostly Democrats. Questions about guns, the Bible, gays in the military...that is the warped Liberal perception of what Conservatives obsess about.

The Gay General was a Hillary plant, and the guy who was “undecided” before the debate, but left convinced he should vote for Edwards,,he was a plant for whom?

And, at the risk of getting flamed here, why should we care if he was a plant or not? The issue was raised and it was deftly answered. Because of how it was answered, we win.

Just my opinion... there were probably 3-4 question about homosexuality, one about the confederate flag, ONE about social security... This was one of two questioners allowed to RESPOND to the candidates. The goal was to bring up issues that divide, whether or not they were significant. In general, I thought questions were selected to make the candidates look bad, not to clarify positions.

BTW, wasn't don't ask don't tell part of the Clinton legacy?

If the Republican party had gonads they would refuse CNN any more debates on that network.

Put all the Republican debates on Fox. Republicans all watch Fox anyway...nobody’s going to get upset if no pubbie debates are on CNN.

The best response to that joke with that retired general would be...TODAY...for the national Republican party to come out with a statement that because of this incident, the party is going to decline any more debates on CNN.

CNN should NOT be allowed to get away with this and no, I will never believe it was a mistake.
