Here are a few more details released this morning:

FBI Raids Home in Howard County
Last Update: (11/29/07) 9:14 am

FBI Raids Home in Howard County FBI agents raided a home in Howard County on Wednesday. It happened on Sharp Street in the Glenwood section of the county. No one has been charged, and the names of the people who live in the home have not been released, but 10 to 12 agents were spotted entering and leaving the home, taking with them brown paper evidence bags.

A spokeswoman for the FBI’s Baltimore field office would only say that the agents were executing a search warrant, and that it’s part of an investigation that could take a long time. “A federal search warrant is authorized by a federal judge. It’s a legal document that allows us to go in and search premises,” said Special Agent Michelle Crnkovich of the FBI.

A federal judge ordered the warrant “sealed,” which means information on what agents were looking for and what they found will not be released. There are many reasons why investigators might ask for a sealed warrant, including national security, protecting sources or protecting investigative techniques. The FBI spokeswoman would not say why this particular warrant was sealed.

Neighbors say a married couple lives in the home with their son. The FBI would not confirm neighbors’ statements that either the man or his wife works for a federal government agency.
