If memory serves me correctly, Jesus never told the government of his time what to do, he talked to individuals. This is at a time in which capital punishment (for lack of a better term) was a public event, with often hundreds being killed at a time, and he never said jack about it.. at that, he didn’t object when he was the one being sacrificed.
